A MESSAGE FROM ALLISON – MAY 2023

I am delighted to be writing our first newsletter to our founding cohort for 2023!

The purpose of the newsletter is to support you with your transition and help you to get excited about secondary school.

Our teaching staff are busy arranging appointments with your primary school to come and visit you. These will start after SATs. The visits will ensure you get to meet a friendly face and provide an opportunity for you ask any questions about secondary school.

If you have driven past the site recently you will see that everything is nearly complete.

The Brian Clarke stained glass window is currently being installed. We are extremely honoured to have such a beautiful piece of art donated to our school.

As well as getting excited for your arrival, our current cohort and staff are very excited about the move to the new building.

It’s a real privilege to be able to communicate with our founding families and their children. We will of course continue to update on developments and communicate with you over the coming months.

Wishing all the young people the very best for their upcoming SATs and the celebrations that will inevitably follow.

Head of Year Message – Mrs Briggs

Hello Year 6 pupils!

This month is an exciting one for the staff at Brian Clarke. We have started to sign ourselves up for primary transition visits; we are very much looking forward to coming into your primary school to get you know you better before you join us.

We can’t wait to meet you and your families on the transition evening in June. On this evening you will meet your new form group and form tutor for the first time and spend some time getting to know each other better.

We have also been planning lots of exciting lessons for you to do on our transition day which will take place in July and will be a full day at our wonderful new school building!

We all wish you the very best of luck in your SATs and will see you very soon.
