Parents and Carers were invited to a Social Media information Evening on Wednesday 11th February hosted by Mr Machell and Mrs Coleman, Assistant Headteachers alongside Ellen Wheldon- Safeguarding and Wellbeing support officer for Oldham Local Authority.
We delivered information around the dangers associated with online content, contact, conduct and commerce including risks, legalities and behaviour and interactions that can be harmful to our young people.
Parents in attendance said they found the information evening useful and informative. Please use the attached guidance to support and protect your young people when accessing the internet and social media platforms. Having open and honest conversations as well as understanding technology is the way forward to prevent harmful online behaviours.
